Crellina is built from three Italian roots: creare (“to create”), bella (“beautiful”), and the diminutive ending -ina — the same ending you hear in ballerina, concertina, and porcellina. The diminutive carries the sense of something small, precious, and made with care.
Together: each character, each story, is a small and precious creative work.
Three syllables, the same rhythm as Angelina, Adelina, Carolina. The double-L is an Italian phonetic signature (mozzarella, cappella, novella). The middle “i” is always the bright Italian “ee” — like “see” or “free,” never the short English “ih.” If you can say Angelina, you can say Crellina.

The lane next to it — thoughtful creators who want depth and craft — is mostly empty. That’s where Crellina lives. We’re building the platform we wanted as creators ourselves: tools that respect the creative process, characters with interior lives, a calm interface that gets out of the way of the work.
Crellina is built by SmartGenix AI LLC, an AI engineering software development company based in Fishers, Indiana. The team is small — experienced software developers, program management, and partners assisting with non-technology items. We remain current on the latest AI technology advancements to build our products and run our business operations.
SmartGenix AI is the legal entity. Crellina is the consumer-facing brand. Crellina Characters is our first product, with more creative tools coming.
Crellina Characters launches July 2026. Additional creative tools follow on the same platform. Beyond that, we’re building further Crellina products as the platform grows — genre verticals, B2B tools, and a marketplace are all on the roadmap.
